In conjunction with Chinese New Year celebration, MyCreativeBaobei had come out with an own version of fukubukuro ~! The bags containing 3 Chinese New Year related activities and 1 free surprised activities which worth up to RM46. Chinese New Year is a good chances to let the children understand more on Chinese Cultural and having a sense of appreciation of the culture.

1)CNY Chinese Opera Character Mask Drawing
Chinese opera together with Greece tragic-comedy and Indian Sanskrit Opera are the three oldest dramatic art forms in the world.Parents can introduce the Chinese Opera to the children by playing this activities. This activities allowed the children to colour the mask of Chinese Character and decorate the coronet with pom pom. Different colour of the mask represent different meaning and illustrate the character's emotional state.Parent may refer to the instruction provided in the pack for the meaning of the mask colour.

2)CNY Paper Plate Fish Ornaments
Fish usually being treated as one of the Chinese New Year mascot due to it pronunciation (鱼 yú) is the same as (余 yú) which having meaning of affluence. Children practice their find motor skill through tearing and pasting activities. Children definitely will enjoy playing with this colourful art. The process of creating craft projects is always more important than the end result. Never let children feel that there is a right or wrong way to express themselves through their craft activities.

Paper-cutting originated from ancient activities of worshiping ancestors and gods, and is a traditional Chinese culture.After hundreds of years' development, now they have become a very popular means of decoration especially during wedding and Chinese New Year.Being able to cut well with scissors is a vital preschool, kindergarten and elementary school skill. It is considered as one of the pre-handwriting skill.Scissor cutting, with a proper scissor grasp, will give these fingers lots of practice in working together, and will strengthen your child’s hand muscles. This will help to improve fine motor skills and to develop the correct pencil grasp for good handwriting.

    2)CNY Paper Plate Fish Ornaments
    • Tears out the parts of the fish
    • Paste the parts of the fish on the paper plate to make it a fish
    • Tie the Chinese knot (如意结） on the bottom of fish to complete the ornaments.

    3)CNY Chinese Papercutting
    • Fold the paper into half
    • Cut the paper according to the printed line
